My "life verse" and motto for the day today: I can do all things through Him that strengthens me. Phil 4:13 Today I conquered the Great Wall of China. For those who know me well, I don't like heights and I have trouble with motion. I was able to get through my flights, but I was not prepared for the tram/gondola that was to take up to a section of the Great Wall. Not that it was "dangerous", it was just going up a lot higher than I thought in a smaller "vehicle" than I thought. God was good and calmed my fears as I hung on to the bars and looked straight ahead as we lifted off and the trip down.
Once up, I was taken away by the view! How they built that wall I cannot comprehend - it was thousands of years ago, with no lifts, cranes, or machines and it is magnificently placed
up in jagged mountains; built by men who were trying to protect themselves, their families and their villages; and it still stands today! I am in complete awe!! I also didn't know/realize that it is in sections and not all one!Our group also saw the Cloisonne factory and
how they made this beautiful enamelware. Quite the process I must say! We purchased this vase for the family and enjoyed seeing all the other amazing pieces. I had always thought this was ceramic but it is actually copper based!Tomorrow we are off to Tianneman Square and the Forbidden City. More posting tomorrow!

Proud of you - I forgot to warn you about the gondola - oh, but maybe it's ok I didn't!?!?!? I even wondered how often they check those for safety - I know, good thing I brought that up NOW and not before, right!??!
Hey, great pics by the way!!!
Can hardly wait each day to see your next post! So anxious to see you with Lexi!
